NorthStar can evaluate a wide range of investments in both securities collateralized by commercial mortgage loans and in direct loans. NorthStar is an active buyer of commercial mortgage backed securities, unsecured REIT debt and credit tenant loans. Additionally, NorthStar acquires, originates and structures senior and subordinate debt investments in real estate, including first lien mortgage loans, junior participations in first lien mortgage loans, second lien mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, and preferred equity interests in borrowers who own such properties.Collateral types considered are listed below:

- Hotel
